Last updated 16 September 2026
You can delete your Explorae account, and everything backed up with it, straight from the app. If you no longer have the app, email us and we'll do it for you.
In the app
- Open Explorae and tap the Settings gear on the map.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm, then sign in with Google once more to prove it's you.
Deletion happens straight away, and it can't be undone. If you might want your map later, first save a copy with Settings → Export backup.
Without the app
Email nabeelshahzad88@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Explorae account, from the Google account you signed in with. We'll delete your account and backup within 30 days and email you when it's done.
What's deleted
- Your account: the user ID, name, email address and profile picture from Google sign-in.
- Your backup: every visit, note and location, your home city, and your earlier-visit counts.
- When you delete from the app, the map on that phone as well.
What's kept. Nothing linked to your account. Crash reports never contained your account or your location, and Firebase deletes them automatically after 90 days.
